I play using a XIM 4 and have been for about a year now. So I could see how they wouldn't consider this enough support from Sony.) (E: Correction - Sony officially licenses a mouse + mini keyboard combo: but it doesn't have the Sony or PS4 branding and it's pretty expensive. So it seems like this is really just an issue between Blizzard and Microsoft. Other posters in the thread pointed out that Sony actually does sell and support a PS4 keyboard + mouse, which should meet his requirement to "openly and easily support mouse and keyboard for all players". >I encourage you to reach out to the hardware manufacturers and express your concerns (but please do so in a productive and respectful way).

> Openly and easily support mouse and keyboard for ALL players > Disallow mouse and keyboard and input conversion devices >We have lobbied and will continue to lobby for first-party console manufacturers to either: >We have contacted both first-party console manufacturers and expressed our concern about the use of mouse and keyboard and input conversion devices.

>The Overwatch team objects to the use of mouse and keyboard on console. Go read through your ToU and double check if you want.Īctually it seems like Blizzard would be amenable to keyboard and mouse on console if Microsoft officially supported it: Jeff never says using it is against the rules or warrants disciplinary action. > Just cause a scrub picks up a m&k don't mean he gonna start slaying folks, you still need to be skilled with it as with a controller. Same goes for using a fight stick in fighting games. All that you can get in an officially licensed product. (When talking about designing the Elite controller they mentioned that the reason it didn't have turbo buttons is because they consider it cheating.) The back paddles, the trigger stops, the swappable sticks. I said the elite controller and third party accessories that function similarly give the player an advantage, but it's not cheating because the elite controller's features are endorsed by Microsoft. >Honestly if you define cheating as anything that gives a player an advantage or edge. Has anyone here tried that thing with Destiny? How was it? It still isn't the same as plugging in a full qwerty keyboard though. I'd say it's extremely cheap, but not cheating (on PS4) because it's endorsed by Sony. But playstation has licensed mouse and keyboards out in the market.
